No, that is a major leak in PLO. You only go broke when u hold AA on AQQ flop and opponent holds QQ. You always need be weary of top set when your opp. is potting. Albeit the hand was HU so u prolly put him on an over pair...you should of passed this hand pf.
the lottery is a tax 4 ppl bad @ math

That right there tells me you could have avoided going broke. This is why you don't play trash hands in omaha. Too easy to catch just enough of a piece to get yourself in trouble.

I don't even get the preflop call, unless the xx were AA with at least one suited.

I could see the xx being 56, 86, something of that variety. Maybe even KK or QQ ds. Other than that, not good.

Not much more you can say, avoid it, by not calling pre-flop. I don't see how you could.

Even if you were the BB, and saw this flop for free, there is no way you should be calling his flop bet with bottom two pair. Even top and bottom pair is dangerous, let alone top two. Easy peasy fold here. 8)

yeah tough hand to get away from on the turn though. Very few hands beat you just a tough hand.

See above for why it doesnt make sense going broke here... Also, read Josh Arieh's article over at Bluff for some sound advice on playing bottom two pair and for Omaha in general.

I agree... but I don't think we have enough info. First of, 74xx? And then we need info on how the opponent is perceived and how you're perceived. (table image) I assume they acted first and you called their preflop raise AFTER limping in? (why would you call 74xx unless it was a sb/bb raise which would be hard also) When they potted you had to at least give them a Jack. Knowing that, you're taking a chance with calling with bottom two because who knows what their other 3 are. What do you do if the turn is paint? Or not a 7 or 4? The turn, does make it hard to avoid... BUT like everyone else mentioned it could've been avoided preflop. BUT, I also think you were missing info also. Like, would they bet TOP set on a rainbow? Also, what were the limits of the game? Just my two cents. :?
