I was playing on Royal Vegas Poker with the free ten dollars I was given. So I went over to a NL Hold 'em table (nickle/dime), hoping I could boost it to a usable bankroll. For a while it worked. I managed to turn my ten into 17. Then I made what I think is the right move at the wrong time...I was dealt :clubsk: :clubsa: on the button. Everybody but one early limper folded, I raised, the blinds folded, the limper called. Flop came :clubsj: :clubs7: :clubs8:, giving me the nut flush. I check, the limper bet fifty cents. Thinking my trap worked, I raise it to a dollar. Then the person did something I was not expecting but I thought would pay me nicely. The guy went all in for twenty dollars (he'd been sitting around a while). I thought he had a weaker flush, like a Q/x of clubs (he played a lot of Q/x hands), so I called, putting myself all in. He flips his cards over, showing a :clubs4: :clubs5:. At this point I'm like "Alright, there's no possible way I can lose this." Turn comes a blank, still making me think I'm gonna win. Then the river comes... :clubs6:. He rivered the only card that would save him.So I lost my entire ten dollars because of one bad beat. The reason I think I really lost my ten bucks was because I was playing a game I wasn't as good at. Oh well, there's always next time. :?
