Well I just got back from Vegas and poker-wise, I didn't do too well at all. I played in a $30 buy in NL tourney with a ridiculous blind interval. They started us with 1500 in chips and the blinds were at 25/50 for level 1! Then...15 minutes later...or 10 hands, it doubled! They doubled it every 15 minutes. I hate that. You get no breathing room to actually play. I don't think I got "involved" in 1 meaningful pot, and was forced to push all in with A-8 suited in the SB (200) with 900 left total. (It had folded around to me) and I hoped the BB would simply fold, but he was already in for 400, and it was just 500 more so he called with his Q 9 off and hit two pairs to knock me out. I guess I can't blame him. He had a rather decent sized stack. I blame the structure, which is why I only entered this thing once. I got about 3 hours in at the $1-$2 NL ring game, which went well for the most part. First day I bought in for $100 (max) and took about $50 off a young guy with a Superman shirt on, but then had it dwindled down to $100, which is when I left even after about 2 hours. The only real bad hand I had was QQ. I bumped it up to $10 pre-flop and got 1 caller. Uh-oh. Flop comes low rainbow rags. He's first to act, and bets out $15. I go in the tank and finally throw it away hoping he had KK or AA. He was a young guy who knew all the chip tricks so I had no problem laying this hand down to him. Needless to say I kicked myself for raising so much pre-flop! He could have put me on AK and assumed I missed the flop and just made a play on me, but this table was soft, and I wasn't about to push all in here to find him flipping over KK. Anyway... THE SHITTY HAND I PLAYED WENT LIKE THIS:Next night I sat at table with $100 and was blinded down to about $80. This young girl across from me from San Diego was up to over $700. Max buy-in was 100...you do the math. Talk about luck. Anyway, I get dealt AK of diamonds in the SB for $1. 4 people limp, and I bump it to $5 (very small raise- I know, but I wanted callers for the flop). Two people actually fold (obviously sensing the small raise means certain strength). Three others call. Flop comes:10 K 7 rainbow. I'm first to act (3-people behind me), so I check it, thinking if I bet out after a pre-flop raise, surely I'll kill the pot. Next guy checks Next guy bets out $25 (into a pot of about $25). Next guy folds, now it's on me with one guy behind me. I have 80 left. I push all in here. (sure he may have hit two pair or a set, but I really don't think so. I want him to fold here). Next guy folds immediately, now it's back to the original bettor who calls IMMEDIATELY! Oh shit, I think to myself, he flopped Kings and 7's or trip 7's or whatever. I flip over Kings with ace kicker, he flips Kings with an 8! Yes, Kings with an 8. Thank god, right? He's about a 5.6-1 underdog! No 8, no 8 tell myself. I stand to scoop a $185 pot with two cards to come!Turn is: Jack. Ok...River is:9. It went by so fast that I went to scoop the pot, and then I hear someone say "He rivered a straight.." And I look up and realize the 7-Jack straight that this A-hole just made on me. I felt sick to my stomach and just grabbed my water and got up and went to watch my girlfriend at the other table. Did this moron not realize I bumped it up to $5 in the SB with 4 limpers ahead of me??? Did he really think that by checking the flop, it meant that my "AQ" didn't hit??!?!!!? I mean come on, the check/raise is the oldest play in the book! When I moved over the top of him for $55 more (sure it wasn't a big raise, so I guess it's hard to get away from), but he's only got $30 in the pot, and he's GOT to know he's beat, if not DOMINATED! ... I heard some groans and some "man that sucks" but I was too dazed to acknowlege them. It ate at me all night long, I could barely sleep. I told myself I wasn't going to lose more than $100 this trip so I quit. I know most of you would say "get back in there and get your money back from those fish!" But I don't think like that. I'm pretty diciplined, and so that was the end of my "live poker" play at the Aladdin. Plus, I was really dazed, and I think my game would have suffered had I bought back in. Why is it that the lucky players always win monster pots off of me? When I get "lucky" it's like a $3 pot. When I get unlucky it's a pot that makes me want to swim to the bottom of Bellagio's lake. I'm not mad that I lost $100, because I know I'll make it back online. What makes me mad is that this idiot "stole" it from me. I feel personally angry at this guy, although I did not berate him in any way shape or form. In person, I'm very congenial! lol. Who'd have guessed?By the way, I loved Aladdins poker room. Very very quiet. Great place to play poker. Rather small (about 13 tables) but nice.PS: I have to share this hand that I witnessed (at the same table as my bad beat). The girl with over $700 won the pot, here's how it went down:5 people see the flop (no pf raise). Flop comes 448. Fold, bet 20, fold, call 20, fold. Two people see turn card, pot is now about $50. (Right now I'm putting one of these two on at least 8's and 4's, right?)Turn is an 8. Girl check. Young French dude (who had about $250 when I sat down), bets out $50. Girl calls. OK, fireworks! The whole table got audibly excited as we were looking at a possible 8's full vs. 4's full. River is a 2. Girl check. French dude bets $50 again. Girl calls INSTANTLY. $250 pot!French dude shakes his head and asks....HONESTLY..."Can you beat King high?" And flashes his King. The table collectively gasps, then the girl says "Yeah, and flashes an ace". But what was her other card, you ask? A deuce! This ho called him down with Ace-deuce. He had King-garbage. She scoops the pot with 8's and 4's with an ace. The whole table just collectively looked around in utter sickness/amazement. Everyone chimed in with their "Advice" to both players. I didn't, as I figured my efforts would be futile. Ahhh, poker!
well, poker in vegas sucked...

Congrats for getting your money in with the best of it. You got sucked out on. That sucks ha. Makes you wanna swear and get angry. Do so. Get angry and annoyed. Get it out of your system. Shit happens. Then get back to poker. The more situations you get the money in with the best of it the more times you get that "Man I'm a lving poker god" feeling when you cream the table. I've lost crazy hads for 100$+ to runner runner on several occasions. I annoys me for 30 mins and then I get back to it. I can honestly say hand on heart that I've won more than I've lost getting sucked out on. Everyones got there bad beats. Just get on with solid poker so you can think about the bad beats when counting your money.
