I had shown down a few hands earlier with strong hands so I'm assuming that he thought that I was a solid player. With that call of 10 7 o pre flop, maybe not. Based on his previous play, my impression of him was that he was a solid player. My re-raise was based on the idea that the flop missed him and that he would fold to my showing strength. I ended up going out 4th so this pot took me out of the money

To be honest, I think he was respecting you after showing down those hands. He hits TP in a short handed game, leads out. You raise, he gets nervous, but wants to see it as chip leader. He just calls you down from there, no raising, so he respected you, I think, just couldn't lay down tp. He was right this time, that's all.

I personally dont like the raise post-flop. Especially one 6x the orinigal bet. The minimum bet one of two things most likely. He either has nothing or at least a ten. Hard to get away from the turn and river......2000 pot, 150 bet....cant fold regardless....but other than the post-flop raise, not too bad.....just a shame he called you with 10 7....
