I love Don Waddell, as he's the greatest GM in the history of hockey for trading for Marc Savard, but how the hell do you have Tkachuk on the USA olympic team and not Roenick? Roenick is a character guy, all heart, who always seems to come up big in big games (crushes the Leafs), whereas Tkachuk is a selfish player who's never done anything when it really mattered.I must say I'm rather shocked that Roenick isn't on the team, even though he hasn't played very well this season...its a short tournament, and the US is short on experience and leadership, and they will be a worse team without JR.This of course is good for Team Canada so I'm not upset about it.
Marc Savard finished tied for 8th in league scoring with 96 points.

Tkachuk had 4 goals against Russia in the quarter finals of the World Cup. That is called bringing it when it matters.I would have probably picked Roenick over maybe Parrish, but who knows. He has struggled this year.

Jack, did Tkachuk sleep with your girlfriend or something! Dude, lay off the guy man, lol. You are on a hate mission, not good for the soul

How come you're ignoring your favourite stat (points per game) when it comes to Tkachuk and Roenick this season?Would you happen to have Marc Savard's career NHL playoff stats?

I'm not comparing Savard to Tkachuk. Thats like comparing Wayne Gretzky (Savy) to Brent Gretzky (Tkachuk)Roenick has and always be a gamer and has all of the intangible things you want in a playoff setting, and the Olympics is even more compact than just a playoff series.I don't like Roenick, he's screwed the Leafs many many times, but the guy is a big time performer, while Keith simply never has been.

Lol...ok that made me laugh pretty good. I'm not on a hate mission, I just reallllllllllllly don't understand taking Tkachuk over JR. It does suck for your team that you lost Tkachuk again...My other thread about Tkachuk being out not really mattering wasn't focusing on your league, but the NHL in general and the fact that he's barely played all year.As for sleeping with my GF...someone should, cuz I certainly haven't been lately.

Lol...one game in a one game semifinal. You can't be serious. His NHL playoff stats are 81 games and 53 points. Not horrible, but not worth the oodles of money he makes either...he's been to the 2nd round twice on some pretty decent teams.

Are you going to just keep changing the argument every time you are proven wrong? And pretty decent teams lose in the first or second round of the playoffs. Put him on some good to great teams (like team USA) and he would thrive.
