Villain checks, Hero pushes all in for 260 into a 320 dollar pot, Villain folds.

me? I fire again 3/4 to a full pot sized bet (yeah, which is basically putting you all in). Does he have AdKd? I think you'll find out more after your bet. Three diamonds on the board now and even if he only has the Ad, you can't give a chance for a free card to the river when he's shown no aggression yet.

Your only hope right now is he's got a diamond draw or an overpair, but I fear the trips, as much as the flush. And if he's pretty loose, I also worry about 8 9 suited and 10 9 suited.I would have overbet the flop and then slowed down on the turn since I'm out of position. There is no shame in laying down aces. It is after all, only one pair, and he would fear the 10d as well if you only had trips.

When the worst card possible fell on the turn I said to myself (thinking about all the big pots I have lost when I couldn't get a way from an overpair) "I'm not losing another stack w AA".This is super weak tight I realize but anyway I checked.Villian bets $100. Hero folds like a bi.tch.Villian shows KK.Any normal turn bet I make commits me to this hand correct? If he didnt show his Kings I think I would have felt OK about dumping the AA. I just feel that so much beats me on this board I cant just keep putting my stack in the middle everytime I get AA.Am I wrong here?

meh..that sucks, but you're right in a sense. AA is a great hand, a wonderful hand, stupendous hand, but it's still only a pair...the board just sucked plain and simple.

I went through this, and still do from time to time. It's almost like, I make these calls for all of my chips, when my gut's telling me I'm beat, just so I can table the aces and show everyone how badly this guy sucked out. It got so bad for awhile, that I really didn't want to have aces. I would get a sick feeling in my stomach when I got them and really just ended up playing them poorly/inviting suck outs. I dunno. It's really chip spewing a lot of times on this board. I dunno, though. There's always part of me though, that gets in that.."Fuck it, I'm showing my hand down" mode. And that's the hard part to get over, once you do, you'll be allright. And realize, that against this board, against this opponent, more often than not, you're right to lay them down.

im sorry but barring just an insane player...when u reraise to 15x the big blind and he calls...he has AA, KK, QQ or rarely AKFlop u should bet around the pot...turn should be an automatic push...it is very unlikely that he is holding 2 diamonds...If he has 2 pair then hes a donkey..reload and bust him...folding for 100 is a very bad play imo

When I am playing well, I am capable of laying this hand down without too much regret. The night before this I got home from a live poker game and was pretty loaded so I figured I might as well play some $2 $4 NL.1st hand I get AA. Normal raise pf, one caller.flop is rags. I bet. She raises. I pushShe calls with a set of 4's.I'm am definately at point where I get a little sick when I pick up AA.

I went through a real bad downswing at the B&M where I was just getting run over. I lost with the Ace high flush to straight flush. I lost a set of aces to runner runner quad eights. Nines full down to quad fours. I really, truly, believed that I'd rather have 92os than Aces, just so I wouldn't have to play them.I took about two weeks off, and reevaluated. I'm a better player for it.

I feel like I'm playing pretty good poker right now so I'm not too concerned. Thanks for the advice everyoneI wish I could take time off sometimes when I know I need it but there is 0% chance that I can go a day without playing.I've been playing for about a year and a half and this game has a strangle hold on me. The complexities are unbelievable and I just want to keep leaning and getting better. All I think about is poker.Does it ever stop?

Looking at my logs last two weeks, I've had Kings three times and won all three hands. Jacks four times and won two of four. Aces five times and won only two of five. So it happens that sometimes Aces just don't cut it.The worst thing is when folks call a large raise or reraise with 10 4 and hit two pair on the flop. That'll make you think the game is more stupid than complex =)
