best strategy for headsup play???

One of my main faults as a poker player is I am not as good headsup as I am at a mid sized table or even a full table. Because of this I am leaving money on the table as I take 2nd more often then 1st when I make it heads up.I have been playing strictly some headsup matches on Stars and have been doing fairly well but it still doesn't seem to be transfering over into my MTT and SNG games.Just looking for some new ideas to try in a headsup situation.My main strategy right now is to let the other guy be the aggressor and try to trap him when I make a big hand. But obviously this is hit or miss as I lose alot of pots when my hand is no good and I could always run into a bigger hand.Any help appreciated.

How big of a raise? Standard?

yeah the standard 3 to 4x bb. Depends on how your opponent is playing though. I prefer at least 4x bb. Gives him much worse odds to call. Harrington on Holdem 2 has an excellent section on heads up play.You should definitly read that.

3-4 x BB.Depends.Whatever amount makes him feel uncomfortable calling with any 2 cads.Min-raising = Worst play possible.Say blinds are 10-20. Take it to 80 at least. It's not small enough that he figures to "have" to call, but it's big enough he has to respect it. It's also small enough you don't ever get pot stuck preflop. Ya know?OH! And Pot bet the flop 50% of the time OOP and 90% of the time when checked to you.

I am half way through HOH #1 and definitly plan on getting #2.
