Verdimme 0
I have some problems with this myself. Thats one of the many reasons for playing 6 max  His check on the flop confuses me a bit. If he is aggressive, i expect him to bet. Mike Caro says...be careful when a bluffer checks to you. Now, when he raises on the turn i think im releasing my hand. We could be drawing dead there. Doesnt seem like a bluff to me. Capped preflop, weird check, c/r on the turn...that must be trouble. screech 0
I like the pf and flop play.I think I might check/behind on this turn. This card could have easily helped him and it feels like your walking into a c/r here a lot. If I bet the turn, I'd grungingly call down. No way I'm not seeing showdown here. Verdimme 0
Screech, why would you pay him off?I agree checking behind on the turn is probably best. You c/c the river?
screech 0
Screech, why would you pay him off?I agree checking behind on the turn is probably best. You c/c the river?I pay him off because he's an aggressive player in a blind battle. The board isn't very dangerous, the pot is getting large, and we may well have the best hand. I also don't want him to think he can run over me in the future.

This hand wa good practice, glad I posted.I was going on purely on his stats and not looking at how the board/action went as much.He had A4.bummer.
Abbaddabba 0
When people are the preflop aggressors and check an absurdly safe flop, it generally means that they hit a big piece of it. Like when the flop comes AA4 rainbow, and an aggressive player who 3bet your late position raise out of the blinds check/calls the flop. Anyone with a hand that missed there is going to bet, knowing full well that most hands in your range missed too, and you'll just fold to a bet. But clearly that isnt what they want; so thinking that they're brilliant, they check/call and attempt a check/raise on the turn.As mike caro would say; DISapoint ANY player who... by ACTing WEAK... wants you to caaaalllllIt's usually just best to check behind on the turn and call a bet on the river with virtually any pair unimproved, since there's at least some chance that he's 'tarding it up by not putting in a continuation bet. Not enough to even consider getting value though. You want to show down a pair as cheaply as possible.

I don't have a lot else to say here, honestly, other than be VERY wary when a preflop raiser checks the flop. Period.
Wingmaster05 0
i know actuary was eager to put this guy in his place, but can't we just fold this, especially since it full ring? in a 10 handed game i tend to avoid blind confrontations as much as possible.

I figure practicing now can't hurt.IMO, folding this to his raise preflop is bad. Horrible.
Verdimme 0
Had to dig deep for this one .The things Screech point out have some merit. However, i think that in 1/2 6 max people are not conciously trying to run you over. I think calling down for this reason is maybe better applicable in the 3/6 games Schreech plays. Given the action, i still think we need to fold this turn. Paying him off has no merit on this level imo.
Actuary 3
it's full.and that makes your point to not call down more valid; however, look at his stats.
