papashango 0
Under 21 so my first pokerroom experience at a casino had to be at turning stone since I live in the northeast..Needless to say i was a little dissapointed...... anyone who's been there would know.. the room is small... cramped and full of 16 year olds....... i'm curious what other peoples thoughts of turning stone are and how it compares to other places
carp2440 0
I live in Pa, so I have made several trips to Turning Stone. When I 1st went there in 2002, they just opened to poker room, and it was mostly decent older players. But ever since the poker craze, younger and younger people keep coming since its only 18 to gamble. I play 1-2 and 2-4 NL, and almost every player on those tables are 15 ur old kids with endless amounts of their parents money. I rather drive the extra hour to play in A.C. since Turning Stone is very small and loaded with underage people who think they know everything about poker. I dont reccomend going there unless you are under 21, and cannot stand the online world, or if you feel like listening to people talk about Rounders and the WSOP for 6 hours. GamblinLeaf 0
... cramped and full of 16 year olds.......This is what makes it so profitable ...
m3-mike 0
the key is to just play 300 or 600 NL.. alot of the kids are gone, and you don't have to hear thier constant whining and excuses. If i really want to get under thier skin though, i'll sit in 1-2nl just to outplay sombody and really piss them off.. Not extremely profitable since its 100 max but fun anyways. Lots of donks in 1-2 for sure.
telescop 0
If you get there in the morning you can get in a 5/10 game with a couple of the bigger limit players waiting for a 15/30 or 20/40 game to start. They raise with every marginal hand just looking to keep their interest in the game. It can be very profitable if you can play well against loose agressive type players.
