GamblinLeaf 0
Two hands to checkup on ... I'm really losing my mind ...---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Hand #1Villain is "smiley face" ... 23/6/2.3Crypto 2/4 (10 handed)Preflop: Leaf is UTG+2 with [Ts][Td]UTG folds, Villain calls, Leaf raises, 7 folds, Villain calls.Flop: [Ks] [4c] [7c]Villain checks, Leaf bets, Villain Raises, Leaf calls.Turn: [Js]Villain bets, Leaf ... ?What's our line from here on out?---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Hand #2Villain is TAG ... 11/8/1.8Crypto 2/4 (9 handed)Preflop: Leaf is UTG+2 with [Ad][Kh]UTG raises, UTG+1 folds, Leaf 3-bets, 6 folds, Villain calls.--> Given Villains stats I figure he's capping AA , KK and maybe QQ, but just calling AK, AQ, AJ and JJ. Thoughts?Flop: [3s] [As] [Qd]Villain checks, Leaf bets, Villain calls.--> Semi-scary flop if he has AQ or QQ, but lovely if he has AK, KK, JJ, or AJ.Turn: [4d]Villain checks, Leaf bets, Villain raises, Leaf ... ?And again, what's our line from here on out? screech 0
Hand 1:There are a lot of hands villain can have here. Flush draws, small pp's, a pair of kings, or air. I would either fold to the flop raise (weak I know), or call down (weak again). There's no point in calling that flop raise if you plan on folding the turn.Hand 2:I call the turn and river. --> Given Villains stats I figure he's capping AA , KK and maybe QQ, but just calling AK, AQ, AJ and JJ. Thoughts?Don't assume this based on stats. You need a real read to determine this kind of info.
Abbaddabba 0
Im pretty sure it's only a matter of time before someone storms in saying you have to call the flop raise in the first hand for metagame reasons. But really, you're not getting odds (even with implied odds) to call to hit your set on the turn, if you're folding unimproved. So why bother? I suppose if he checks behind for a free turn because he had a flush draw, you dodge a bullet. But how often does that happen?
