We all know the stories like Stu Ungar or many others that ended up broke, could run fast but then give it all back.My question is geared to any of the pros that prowl this site. You may not be a big named pro, but even if you play for a living please chime in.Do you have any types of plans for your future? IRA's, any other sources, like real estate that you invest in now?If so how much or what percentage do you put aside?

Right now the only investment I'm making is in continuing to build the bankroll. In the past year, I've used some of my winnings for real life expenses - I paid for most of the down payment on the new car we bought, and all of the car insurance. Also used some of my winnings to pay for vacation and holiday expenses. I'm hoping that within a few years, I'll have a bankroll large enough to have more flexibility with investments.
When you tell me a bad beat story, I don't really listen. I nod sadly and pretend to care, but actually I'm using the time to think about more important things. That way, you feel the sympathy you're seeking, and I put my time to good use. It works for both of us. -- Mike Caro, Super System 2
