custom36 5
I agree with Andy Bloch and applaud him for taking this stance.
Fluffdog87 2
The WPT is acting retatarded on this stance.Daniel, I guess you could be in a WPT video game, and not get paid a dime for it. lol this is a load of crap and they know it.Go :wpt: (sw)
HangukMiguk 8
Isn't Lindgren & Ng in the new WPT game?I had found that quite bizarre and amusing seeing them on the packaging, and it made it appear that they are in fact in the game. That would explain why.

boyitalia 0
Weren't some of the top pros and tourny directors talking about starting a union for proffessional poker players? Seems to me that would give Andy and the well name pros some more power over wpt.
acesfull333 0
wow.. that is pretty crazy from the WPT.. I would not blame the big names for refusing to sign that...I would sign it, but only cause I'm a nobody!!!Of course, if I ever got lucky enough to win a major event, then I'd probably jump on the just say NO bandwagon... since it would matter to me then!Hopefully they'll change the release before I win my first major.. haha!CCM - AcesFull333
degenrat 0
"Bloch has signed the release and returned to his table. Is that Mel Judah on his left? A better eavesdropper told me that Andy claimed he was signing under duress, to which the tournament official snapped, “You’re not under duress.” I don’t know what’s in the WPT Standard Release now, but the one I signed in L.A. included the phrase “in perpetuity throughout the universe.”Great boycott lol
acesfull333 0
'throughout the universe', eh?So much for that marketing blitz on Mars...
SpeedKills 0
is kind of interesting. Is ferguson playing in this one?
mr_druid 0
He should play with a paper bag over his head, and start a trend, like those people who go to Chicago Cubs games with the bags over their heads so their friends will not see them on tv.Tom.
Guest navybuttons1
we played 50 PLO8 table last night at FTP and i asked him about it. he basically said that there were specific players (i won't say who) who were being exploited by the WPT.he made it very clear that this decision (to not play any WPT events) was very bad for his career.so i say all the power to him for his stand.i think about it this way. if you are in a commcercial for a barbie doll and they showed that commercial 20,000 you might make $50 for everytime it aired or $100,000. there are players who end up in TONS of WPT commercials (whose likeness is used as advertising) that the channel doesn't have to pay for. and when the WPT is the number 1 watched show on the travel channel it doesn't seem fair that a marquee player doesn't recieve anything. sorry haven't slept in 26 hours. donkboat 0
unless I knew the exact contract .. it is hard to agree with either side ..I am sure that WPT is making a ton of money off these players .. and they do deserve to be compensated .. but the players do owe a lot of there poker success to events like the WPT, EPT, and WSOP. Yes I know the players do make a HUGE difference .. but if u talked to someone like Daniel, Gus, Lindgren, and and all the other big name players .. I am sure they would have many wavering opinions .. this poker boom is largely attributed to online poker (which is very true) .. but it is also b/c of large events and amazing poker personalities fighting for a table full of cash ..I know the main reason I started watching poker was b/c of the WPT .. Daniel was by far my favourite .. and Gus was so wild and calculating ..So whose side do u take .. whatever side works out for poker .. cause thats what really matters ..donkboat
