Looks good to me too.Why would MP2 3-bet the flop and check the turn? Either he was very obviously going for a check-raise, or he feared that the naked ace flush got there. Weird either way though. But yeah, played fine.

How close or not close is the flop raise?
Always bet like you've got a pair.

It's not that close. There's no reason for us to give MP credit for a better hand, and folding hands like 9dx is very good for us.

I like the point about small diamonds folding. If 3-bet on the flop and led into on the turn, should we fold on THIS turn?I'm thinking yes, we should fold... but the little voice is saying "does the flop action commit us to showdown?"
Always bet like you've got a pair.

Yes, I would fold this turn if I was led into.

Baby flushes will often not lead and they may very well call rather than raising thereby costing us more.

Smartest thing I've heard yet.Great point. I was wrong earlier. If we check the turn we should fold the river. If we plan on calling the river, we should bet this turn.Betting may get baby flushes to fold, and we only get raised when we have 0 outs. We should either check behind the turn and fold the river, or bet/fold the turn.

I don't understand how this makes checking the turn and calling the river better.

if we bet/fold the turn, and get called instead of raised...are we checking behind on the river?

If we bet the turn and get called I think we have to check/fold the river. It looks like UTG+2 wanted to c/r his flush on the turn. I think we can probably fold this river as played too. Does that help make the argument for bet/fold the turn?

Haven't read replies...I was gonna say cap the flop, but now that I think about it. I don't think that other guy is 3-betting with just the flush draw, he may already have to flush. So I think I like the way you played it.FWIW...you should definitely be betting a non-diamond turn card if it's checked to you. Flush draws are more likely than made flushes on a 3-flush flop and you can't give out free river cards.*read replies*I think I like the bet/fold idea on the turn.
