He makes more than $5 million a year. If he were traded to Ottawa, he'd be the highest paid player on the team, making something something like $600000 more than Alfredsson. Why would Ottawa screw up their salary structure that way, for a guy who as it stands right now might end up on the third line?Bertuzzi might well return to form if he gets a change of scenery - but then again he might not. There are a few teams that might be willing to gamble $5 million on that, but those that would don't really have much cap room to spare, and certainly wouldn't send $5 million worth of proven players back. The only Bertuzzi trades that make sense to me are problem for problem trades, and I'm pretty sure Nonis isn't anywhere near that desparate yet. Link to post Share on other sites

His veteran leadership was his contribution last night :)He's plus 2 on the season while the team is a combined -48.I'd say he's doing just fine defensively, especially considering how absolutely pathetic the Atlanta goalies are.Please come back Lehtonen Link to post Share on other sites
