I've been considering doing this for $1000/$2000 NLHE and LHE events. My uncle seems reluctant. GL though.

So when you pitch this "I'll be about a 7000:1 dog, but its still a good idea" idea. How do you think you can sell that to someone who doesn't understand the game and understands money.I mean I'm sure he didn't make his money by investing in companies that had almost zero chance of making a profit.

Use his uncle's stake to "pay for operating expenses" and never actually pay him back?Blatantly rip off his "crew's" idea and attempt to use it for only his own financial gain?C'mon, the guy has options here.

I would ask him to stake you in a $2000 NL event, and if you cash in that, I would ask him to stake you in the main event.50/50 - 10K min.

Honestly, if you are that good, just win one of the seats in the $33 tourneys run on Stars. If you think you can cash in the ME field, then you'll have no problem taking one of these down. Hell, what about the $175 double shootouts, you only have to beat 16 ppl.If you have a problem coming up with a few hundred dollars to win easy qualifiers, then I suggest that the WSOP is not for you. There is no such thing as thrifty in Vegas. You'll need at least a few grand to even attempt to enjoy yourself out there even if you are playing in the ME.

Hey can your rich uncle stake me? Seriously that all depends on how much he knows about deals in poker, or how much your wlling to give up. I think 80/20 with the 80 going to the financeer is the norm. Since he is family I would say that is fair. If you are as immoral as most of us poker players youcould try to get 50/50 and not feel too bad:) Good luck brotha
