I don't know any tournaments in Toronto ... but just go to your local clubs and casinos and keep track of everything that way. I know its not ideal, but keep everything straight and keep plodding away at the chips.

Unless they opened one recently, Niagara does not have a poker room. When I lived up there, the closest room I knew of was up at Rama. Heck of a boring drive, though.

I live in Toronto as well and Niagara does not have a poker room, they have some poker games like caribbean stud, their own version of hold'em(which is totally different). I'd like to know of some places to play at as well, because there really is not much live action. A couple of the underground places I had played at before were decent, but I'd like to find some more. If anybody has some places, feel free to recommend :DCasino Rama and Port Perry have poker rooms there and generally it's low-limit to middle-limit, but I'd guess Rama has high-limit as well if your interested in that. The games are decent I guess, didn't play too long there to really know.

Falsview Casino in Niagara Falls ON is opening a poker room next month. My ex (a.k.a. "the one who broke me  ") works there an confirmed for me that the opening day for the Fallsview poker room is 01-10-2004. Caisno Niagara is also set to open a poker room but the scheduled date for that is 04-05. I personally think however that when they see the hit that it is, they will bump up the date a few months. The Fallsview casino is going to be on the side of the casino where some of the nickel slots now are, behind the 365 Club (I think that is the bars name). The COOL thing is the Casino Niagara poker room is slated to take over the high limit baccarat room! That room is nice, perfect for a poker room.

There doesn't seem to be too many places for Toronto players to play besides the private card clubs. The action at Rama is sorely lacking, in a sense it's a good thing with a large amount of fish, but it also won't improve your play much at all.

There are quite a few games and tournaments available in Toronto, it's just a matter of getting to know the right people who can get you in the door.
