Actuary 3
UTG: 17.5 / 0 / 2; 80 hands, a real Rock.Others after me generally, can expect ~2 more plus the BB.Chance of a raise after me, about 20%Party Poker 0.50/1 Hold'em (9 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cxPreflop: Actuary is MP2 with A:heart:, T:heart:. UTG calls, 1 fold, SB completes, BB checks.Given UTG stats, thought playing it multi-way was better, and this field wasn't loose enough to call 2 cold regularly. This is not normal for me, tried to use a read to adjust play. ok?Flop: (5 SB) 7:spade:, 8:heart:, J:heart: (5 players)SB checks, BB bets, SB folds, BB calls, UTG calls, MP1 calls.ooooh Baybee! Turn: (6.50 BB) 4:diamond: (4 players)BB checks, UTG checks, MP1 checks, Actuary...?Who takes the card, who bets ?I'm ready to defend my decision.Lets go.
screech 0
Raise pf. Pure value. Bet turn. Pure value if they all call. You may have a lot more outs than you think. I'd guess 14.Plus you add deception when you hit.
Emptyeye 0
I'm betting that turn all day. We have anywhere from 12 to 18 potential outs, though 12-15 is probably a more reasonable estimate. So that averages to 13.5 or so. 13.5/46 = we hit 29% of the time. If everyone calls, we're making money here when we bet. I'm not convinced someone folding is necessarily a bad thing either. Actuary 3
Raise pf. Pure value.SSHE pg 68Given UTG's range and general table tightness, I wanted to encourage play mulitway. Can't we let it slide. i gave a reason. :?

Can't we let it slide. i gave a reason. :?17.5 VPIP isn't that tight. His range might look something like:AA-66AK-ATKQKJs-JTsAxsYou're not doing that bad against this range, especially in position. With the initiative you gain from raising, you do even better.A raise may buy the button, and the threat of domination isn't nearly so bad if at least one other blind comes along. Actuary 3
could you respond in light of SSHE pg 68?He's UTG, his range could be quite tight there.

Plus, you only have 82 hands on him. He may still raise premium hands like AA-QQ.I can't comment with regards to SSHE. I will say that it does recommend raising pf when you have percieved equity edge. Also, the threat of domination is not nearly so dangerous when your cards are suited. Couple this with the fact that another player has already called, I think this is a raise.
