TheCinciKid 0
MP3 is 31/4/2.57 over 75 handsUTG is a complete donkey, no idea what he may have. (50/6/0.55)This hand played out so weird I'm gonna comment on it all the way through, then let you guys hash it out further. Party Poker 2/4 Hold'em (9 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cxPreflop: Hero is SB with K:heart:, 6:heart:. CO posts a blind of $2. UTG calls, 3 folds, Hero completes, BB checks.Completely standard, nothing wrong here.Flop: (5 SB) 3:heart:, 9:heart:, 4:heart: (5 players)Hero bets, CO folds, Hero calls, UTG calls.I lead out after having flopped the flush, figuring that fastplaying is usually the best way to get value out of it. I just call MP3's raise, planning to go crazy on the turn if possible. I put him on a set for some reason.Turn: (5.50 BB) 4:club: (3 players)Hero bets, Hero calls, UTG calls. The board pairs and MP3 raises again here, I chicken out and decided to call down. There's no way I'm folding a flush, but I'm too afraid of a possible boat to 3-bet. I think this was probably a mistake. River: (11.50 BB) 2:diamond: (3 players)Hero checks, UTG bets, Hero calls, UTG calls.Final Pot: 17.50 BBHere on the river I checked with the intention of calling. I don't like the fact that it's 2 by the time it gets back to me, but I'm just not good enough to fold a flush.Thoughts, comments on all streets please.
Actuary 3
I really want to raise turn.I just cant tell you what to do if its capped and the river still plays out like that.I'd have to call two with huge pot.Raise trun, value and/or pretect again two pair, A , UTG may have. AlphaOmega 0
gay-betting the turn is good because if you get raised you can safely call down, and we don't give the ace of hearts a free draw. MP could easily be pulling a free card play with something like A9, so we need to make him pay to outdraw us.I'd probably check/call anything on the river.
screech 0
Everything looks good until the turn. Edit: If UTG is such a donkey, I think you win more by 3-betting this flop. You missed a turn 3-bet. Make UTG pay for his donkish ways. He could be drawing to a lone flush. On the river, it really looks like UTG donked it up and hit his straight. I really don't like your check/call plan on the river. You're not putting nearly enough bets in.The river is a lot easier to play if you just 3-bet the turn. As you played it, I would probably bet. If UTG raises and MP calls, 3-bet. If UTG calls and MP raises, seriously consider 3-betting. You haven't really shown any strength so far. Calling might be best though. Either way, it's a tough decision you wouldn't have to make if you just 3-bet that turn.I don't really understand why you only put in 2 bets on each street.
109suited 0
I'm 3 betting this flop. It should help define your hand in the future. If you 3 bet and then lead the turn, you can safely slow down to a raise on the turn. As it is now, calling 2 on the river probably means you're beat, but you really have no idea where you are. "Thanks for info. Now let me tell you something. I have a boat" ???your thoughts puzzle me. is that how it works?I play flop same as CinciI 3-bet turn though, as noted. screech 0
why do we want to define our hand?I was wondering the same thing. But I do think we should 3-bet htis flop for value. Too many donkeys will call down with hands like T x.Also, MP may call and plan to raise any non-heart turn. People rarely give credit for the flopped flush.
pokerplayer24 0
3-bet turn, if its capped, then i'd play it the same. You're looking at mp3 having a lower flush way more often then a boat.
Briguy 0
I 3-bet the flop, too. I want A X to pay the maximum for his draw.
AlphaOmega 0
What hand would most of you put MP3 on given the flop and turn action?
screech 0
What hand would most of you put MP3 on given the flop and turn action?A very wide range. He's only raised each street once.
