Villain in this hand is a crazy, crazy LAG preflop, a bit calmer postflop, but is still capable of betting any 2 cards, any amount, at any time. His stats are 75%/31%/2.09PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.50 BB (6 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cxUTG ($108.10)MP ($232.10)Hero ($119.75)Button ($20.10)SB ($17.20)BB ($27.45)Preflop: Hero is CO with K:heart:, K:diamond:. UTG calls $0.50, MP calls $0.50, Hero raises to $3, 3 folds, UTG folds, MP calls $2.50.Flop: ($7.25) 2:club:, 9:diamond:, 4:heart: (2 players)MP checks,Hero bets $5, MP calls $5.Turn: ($17.25) K:spade: (2 players)MP checks, Hero bets $10, MP calls $10.River: ($37.25) K:club: (2 players)MP checks, Hero bets ???I guess my question is, in your experience, what type of bet is going to make this type of player either call me or push back? Also, on a completely different note, I'm on the sickest rush I've ever seen right now. Over the past couple hours, 8 tabling on Stars, 672 hands, i'm sustaining 157 bb/100. Jesus.

A hand that calls the turn is most likely calling a decent sized bet on the river here. I'm most likely betting something in the area of 25-30$.

Without reading any other posts, I think somewhere around a third of the pot would probably get called and might even get raised. 10-15 would probably be ideal. Chip Reese talked about this one time, in a big pot, where he had the nuts, he bet something like 10k into a 70k pot, trying to look weak, and induced the raise, and he said, that even if he got called, he was going to be satisfied. I think this is one of those situations, I'd probably bet 15, hoping to get raised. Either way, you've extracted a lot more than you probably could've.
I'm also fed up with the common cold but I just hate to say goodbye.

what is callin w/ on that flop and turn? you have to figure his hand didnt improve. maybe small pockets...like 77 or 88, or TPWK, like 89 or 9T. catching quads may actually help you here...he's less likely to put you on the king. so far you've doubled your bet each round...i'd do somethin similar on this river and bet from $15 - $20. it doesnt look like a tricky bet, just a continuation of the same line.

Always bet like you've got a pair.

the kind pairing the board may end up being a great card for u...it becomes very hard to put u on a king let alone 2 kings when they come runner runner...I would normally toss out a 20 dollar bet unless you feel that he may think ur bluffin. If you have been caught a few times i toss out a little bigger bet...maybe around 30 acting like ur tryin to steal it by betting big...

Thanks for the replies. Here are the results.PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.50 BB (6 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cxUTG ($108.10)MP ($232.10)Hero ($119.75)Button ($20.10)SB ($17.20)BB ($27.45)Preflop: Hero is CO with K:heart:, K:diamond:. Hero has Kh Kd (four of a kind, kings). Outcome: Hero wins $240.75. MP wins $18.25. I threw out the massive overbet on the river because I thought he had a piece, and I wanted to make it look like a huge donk bluff and either get a call or a play back. Looking back, I probably should have only made it 50 to leave myself enough to make him think he could make me fold, but then again, I didn't realize his piece of the board was so small.

Bet the pot. Why?He keeps calling you. Might as well try to get as much as you can here. Basically, I feel as though he's either going to call whatever you bet or he's going to fold right away no better how much you bet. So why not try to get the most out of him? -HoldemPokerPlyr
