I'm looking at A A and feeling very good about it. UTG raises the minimum and I re-raise the pot. Flop comes 7-6-x. He goes all in and I call. He has 7 6 of course. I ask him what the hell he was thinking by playing that after a re-raise. And he says that I was mad because he "cracked my aces". That's not cracking aces, that's just dumb luck.

I would call it "cracking your aces with luck" BUT....You never say what stakes you are playing, L/NL/PL game, and how much the the raise and re-raise was, so it's kind of hard for anyone to make a comment on the hand. More info?

Depending on what it's gonna cost me, I'll play connectors (especially suited) at least to the flop every time, unless I've figured out a tell and know you have a decent pair. Your aces got cracked no matter if you call it luck or not.You lost.In today's game, it's not luck. It's taking a chance. It would be nice if everyone played 'traditional poker' where you only play with a limited number of hands, but those days are gone for now. Move with the times and learn that loose players are the norm rather than the exception or lose your roll. Isn't there a saying to the effect of 'luck shines on the brave and the stupid' While I don't beleive in traditional luck, I do belive that there is a karma that circles around and lands when you need or deserve it.
