Damn it feels good to be posting again.IN ANY EVENT:Read on villain would be nice. But reads being absent, I HATE the average micro-limit player waking up out of nowhere and betting.You played it fine.

With any marginal hand (2nd pair), you would expect a check-call from VillainHis odd bet leads me to believe that he either has nothing or has you beat.If he has you beat, a raise loses more.If he is bluffing, a raise gets you no extra because he will fold.What hands do you think he would bet-call on this river? A slowplayed KQ?I call down on this river.--cnm

Often times this bet is because the opponent plans on calling a bet anyway, and doesn't want you to check behind.Occassionally it will mean a strong hand. Occassionally a weak hand that won't call a bet.Occassionally a mediocre hand that will.It all depends on your opponent. For the most part, I think a raise/fold line is the most profitable here. I still wimp out and call.
