The two books that I want to read haven't been written yet. Phil Ivey and DN are my favorite players. I have heard Daniel talk about a possible book. When do you think that will come out? And will Phil ever write one?I am currently reading the third book I have ever read on Poker. Harrington Vol 1. I must say at about 150 pages in, I have already learned alot. From what I have read I put it on the same level as Super System. And way above the other book I read, Championship Hold 'Em Tournament Hands.later
2 books

Cardoza publishing has DN lined up for two books. First due out later next year, fall 2006 I believe. Ivey makes no secret that he is too busy winning millions of dollars playing poker, so him taking time to write a book just isn't in his game plan. Guys like Howard Lederer, Hellmuth and DN are big poker-businessmen, while a guy like Ivey is just a poker player IMO.

Found the article on Ivey that lead me to my conclusion."I'm not really as private of a person as they claim. I just don't like to be bothered when I'm playing poker, [and] the majority of time, I'm playing poker. That's the thing. I don't like to take time away from my poker for anything. The only reason I'd take time away from my poker is for my wife, my family, things that are really important to me. Me doing an interview doesn't take importance in my life. You understand what I'm saying? For me, it wasn't that big of a deal. I'd turn down interviews and these public appearances because I'd rather be playing poker. That's what I like to do.''So, basically, he doesn't want to spend time away from the table for an interview, so writing a book, then having to promote it and all the other responsibility is just not his thing.James
