What about bet/folding the turn here? If we get raised we are drawing to 4 outs max so seeing a river is pretty meaningless.

If the board reads AQ5Kwith 3 clubs out and we got 3 bet preflop what realistic hands are we behind that gives us the full set of outs. We are drawing to 4 outs max vs AA KK QQ AK KQ, 5 outs vs A10 and 2 outs to win and 4 to split vs AJ o yea and 6 outs vs AQ which is basically our best case scenario.

bet fold did come to mind.Hence my "I like showdowns comment"Given he rarely raises a worse hand, I see your point.Again, I'm not good at figuring ave outs on fly.I need 5 to call when I'm good on river.Given I'd raise if a T hits, sometimes I make 2 BB.

havent read replies...what sort of hand can u put him on? in my mind u need to bet/fold the flop or even the turn....Hes not overly aggressive post flop so hes gonna let u know what he has

it's SH. His 3-bet PF doesn't have to mean muchI have a gutshot draw on flop. You want to fold?

iknow its sh..thats why i get aggressive early...hes passive enough post flop that if he has an ace good kicker hes gonna let you know about it...if not then the turn gave u the best hand and u win more money...

This guy is about as aggressive as your average TAG. He just limps in a lot more pf.Bet/folding this turn is a mistake. If we bet, and get raised, we have to call getting 9.25:1. I really don't see the point in betting the turn, since we are probably going to get raised. If you think we have some FE, a c/r works a lot better.He can't have every hand we fear. He probably doesn't have a flush, because of the Ac and Kc are out. If he has a set of aces/kings, he can't have a club, so we have 4 clean outs. We will likely make up 2 bets on the river, so we can profitably call the turn.The worst case scenario is that he has a set of Q's with a club, or AxQc/KxQc. In this case, we're drawing to only 3 outs. That won't happen often though.Occassionally he will raise a hand like AJ/AT, or even JcJx/TcTx for a free sd. The best play on the turn would appear to be a c/c. The river is good and bad news. If you were ahead on the turn, you're ahead now. C/c, and hope he has a pp.

another point to emphasis, imo, is he's the button.He bet the flop after everyone checked and after he 3-bet preflop.It's not hard evidence of an Ace, especially SH.I could very well be ahead on the turn.And if so, he's probably drawing thin, and I make more (lose less) by c/c.I thought betting turn, in case I'm ahead, to charge a FD made sense.But I usually get a bet from him anyway.Being OOP, with few outs prehaps, I did not like c/r turn.
