I've only logged about 15 hours there but, it seems like everytime I go to UltimateBet and play 3/6 or 4/8 the table is ultra tight. No one is really making any mistakes as far as I can see. Most pots will be contended heads-up but occasionally 3 people will see a flop. It not uncommon for someone to raise and eveyone else folds. It is extremely rare for me to see 4 or more people in a flop at UB. I don't care how great a poker player you are, if you play limit and other people aren't making mistakes, you don't make money, unless your cards are extremely good.I hear people talk about fish at UB but I have yet to see one. What's going on here?
is this typical for u.b. 3/6?

I always heard that UB had the best people overall from most of my higher rolling friends. But then I hear other places (like from some people on here) that stars is tougher.I dunno, I just always believed my friends that UB was pretty solid in play overall. I've only played multis and some triple-draw on UB myself though, never limit hold'em. These days I only do that on party. I've done other sites in the past, like pokerroom and pacific, but not lately.Pacific has some of the largest fish anywhere, on all limits I tried. But the crappy client and inability to multi-table makes it a no-go for most poker-ers.I mainly played 5/10 and 10/20 back then, which were fishy as hell (at pacific).

Yes, UB plays tighter than most other sites.I'm not much up on limit play there but it sounds pretty much the same as the no limit games.I try to find a table with 40% seeing the flop. If it reaches 50% the table is weak-passive and I will play there but it's hard to make much profit as most of it's limping in, not raising. Except it's very easy to push people off flops as they normally will only play along with you, not against you.Low 30% means tight play, normally raises open most pots. I think anywhere from 35-40% are the best games at UB, sometimes the higher 40s, as long as the pots are big enough (not just limpers).-Jordan

I think it also has to do with time and day of the week also. Typically on the weekends and usually around 10:00pm EST during weeknights the tables are looser in general. Playing during the work day or when most people aren't playing the tables can get pretty tight at the levels you mentioned. I can't comment on other sites as I don't play on them.
