.25/.50 Limit table on Party PokerEarly position limper ($.5), everyone folds to me on the button I have AQ os.I raise 1 bet to $1.00, sb folds, bb folds, early limper calls. Flop: A, J, JEarly limper checks, I bet $.5 he calls. I immediately think he has an A or is on the straight draw, but my kicker is solid so I think I'm still ahead.Turn: 2Early limper checks, I bet $1.00, he calls. Again, my first reaction is he has an A or is on the straight draw. I start to think he might have the J.River: 5Early limper checks, I bet $1.00 he re-raises to $2.00. My immediate reaction is he slow played a J. I don't think he's bluffing, I think I'm now beat, but I figure that more time than not, my A with Q kicker is good so I call.He has quad J's.He obviously got the most money out of me that he possibly could so I think he played the hand well.Would any of you played my hand differently? If so, why?

I would have raised 3-4x the BB pre flop or folded. Also at low limit a call on the flop does not mean he could have a J or an A for sure. Yes, its certaintly a possibility that should have crossed your mind, but I have seen players call with almost anything on flops like that.Overall though I dont really see a major misplay on your part and I think he could have gotten much more from you.At the end the reraise tells you that you are beaten although you have to call because of the odds.9 times even 9.5 times out of 10 at low limit a reraise on the river means you are beaten. At least that has been my experience, obviously there are exceptions.

He obviously got the most money out of me that he possibly could so I think he played the hand well. He happened to, but how much money does he not get if you have AA?He should raise the turn here. You're not folding the A and you're calling on the river when you have A and you're paying him off huge when you have a second best hand.Him not raising with JJ here is terrible also, as is him not three-betting it.
I've never played poker.

Why did you bet $1 on the end??? Terrible river play. Truly awful. You think he has the jack, but you bet out anyway. What is your name on Party Poker???

you should've been more cautious since you put him on trip Jacks, also a boat at this point isn't too far off either. I would've figured him for trip jacks after the flop call, he's not gonna be calling a gutshot with that board. After the turn call it is best to go check check on the river. You'll only get called if your beat and you allowed him to extract two bets out of you when ou should've just checked
