I was wondering if anyone had any good suggestions for a home game tourny blind schedule. We usually have anywhere from 6-10 players. The buy in is usually between 5-10 bucks...We currently start out with $2,000.00 in tournement chips.and the blinds increase every 15 minutes as follows:Small Blind Big Blind Ante $25.00 $50.00 - $50.00 $100.00 - $100.00 $200.00 - $100.00 $200.00 $25.00 $200.00 $400.00 $50.00 $300.00 $600.00 $50.00 $400.00 $800.00 $100.00 $500.00 $1,000.00 $100.00 I would appreciate any comments/criticisms of this schedule...as well as any suggestions for better/alternative formats.Obviously... starting chip stacks and chip values are changable. If anyone has anything to say about payouts I'd like to hear about that too.currently we do twice your buy in for second and the rest to first.thanks

This structure seems like it goes by really fast. The ante’s really speed the tournament us and I usually don’t use them when I have games at my apartment. If your goal is to play a couple in a night then it looks good. Usually we play for higher stakes and prefer to have the levels longer and slower moving.1200 in chips, 6-10 players.5-10 to start, every 20 mins move them up.10-2015-3020-40, 25-50, 50-100....this way we usually get a good hour of play in before the major collisions happen. As far as pay out its always lopsided to the winner much more then it should be but a deal is usually stuck.
