When you first sit down at the table, get your coat off, get your chips stacked, watch the play while waiting for the blinds to pass, and finally take your first hand...it's 7

, and you muck in turn. Then, as happens a lot, you get crap for the next 5 hands, nothing to play. Finally, you are in LP, get a pair of fours, make a weak limp and fold to two raises. Then, three more crap hands in the muck. Now, the whole table has you as a tight player. When you raise with KK in MP, every body folds. Nobody will give you much action. It's worse if you get one caller, and have to show it down, then they really put you as a player that only plays with a hand.Do you ever jump in early on and play a crap hand just to advertise? With a weak flop, and one or two other players, it shouldn't cost much to be able to showdown bottom pair, or K high that may pay off later.Whata ya think?

Welcome to the forum. I don't play many cash games, but during a recent deepstack on stars, I went nuts in the first level, showing down complete crap like 7/5 on a bluff, raising like 40% of pots pre-flop etc. This left me a little short-stacked, but now with this super loose image, I quickly double up with two pair, and got an insane amount of action with AA.I was in perfect position to have a massive chip lead, but my AA got drawn out by QJs. And I was out a little later with AK vs A6.Anyways, advertising can bring you alot of extra chips, but you have use it correctly. Like if you establish that loose image, then you gotta nut-peddle for a long time.
