I am asking two questions in one poll. Read the choices carefully.A certain FCP poster feels that Vince Young will never play QB in the NFL. Others feel otherwise. Some feel Texas will win the Rose Bowl. Others feel otherwise. Let's see who is in the majority.(Note: Assume that the Rose Bowl will in fact be Texas v. USC)

I voted that USC will win and Young will play QB in the NFL. However, I don't think he will be a good NFL QB.And regarding your signature, Notre Dame is way overrated and doesn't deserve a BCS Bowl.

Yes, ND is way overrated this year, I completely agree 100 percent, they haven't beaten one good team, unless you want to say their lucky win over Michigan counts (I'm not sure if I'd count it....). Also, no, VY probably won't be a great NFL QB, but I still think he will play in the league as a QB.

Yes, TX wins the Rose Bowl, and yes, VY will play in the NFL. Looking forward to ANOTHER possible Music City Bowl for MN this year (sigh)

Yeah, Vick sucks..I mean, yeah, he won a playoff game in Green Bay, which pretty much noone has been able to do...but whatever. And the question wasn't whether he will "make it" in the NFL, but whether AT ANY POINT IN HIS NFL CAREER WILL HE EVER PLAY THE POSITION OF QB??????? do you say no to that one also??? i sure hope you didn't misunderstand the question.

I do think (and hope) that Texas will beat USC in the title game..... I voted for Young playing QB in the pros, but I will actually take that back.... Young will be drafted, but might not end up playing QB in the pros. He could turn out to be a special teams contributor/WR type like Randle El. But with QB depth a necessity these days (see the Jets), you'd think someone would pick him up in the draft. Either way, the most important thing is that Texas whups USC in the title game.

When I say he will play QB in the pros, I just mean AT ANY POINT of his career. The quote from someone else was that VY would NEVER play QB in the NFL. I feel he will at least be a backup for a while and will likely get a shot for a while. I don't think he'll be that great, but he will play QB at least some.

USC isn't that great of a team, their offense is solid, but, on defense, the Texas offense is going to eat them up. USC doesnt have the defense they used to.As for whether Vince Young will play in the NFL. He will obviously play and it's not even close. He's got Vick's speed, and a better arm. That 80 yd. run he had is going to get him drafted automatically. I've never seen someone run like that.

About USC, I agree 100%About Young, I agree 50%. He will get the shot to be a QB. I don't know why some all of a sudden think he can't throw or anything, his numbers are pretty solid. That being said, I wouldn't say he has Vick's speed and I am not sure if he is going to be a good NFL QB or not, he might be, he might not be, but he will get the chance.

what about the run vick had against the vikings in OT like 2 or 3 years ago? that was pretty sick.USC will beat texas because they will outscore them. Young will make it to the NFL as a QB, but i don't think he will be there long.

I think both offenses are nearly equally explosive (maybe a slight edge to USC), but I think Texas' D is being severly overlooked. I don't think they hold USC to ten points or anything like that, but I think they might be able to hold USC to under 40, which could be good enough b/c I think Texas could realistically put up 55 on USC. Of course this is just my opinion, so.....

A. QB is unproven until he wins a Super Bowl???? Wow, I guess Peyton Manning isn't that great yet then, neither is, well, pretty much any Quarterback in the NFL. Just because a quarterback hasn't won a Super Bowl doesn't mean he "can't win the big games. Vick is a proven quarterback.Also, yes, you're right, it might be a dumb question. However, it is asked because of this: I said that Vince Young is going to the NFL as a QB, and Ron Mexico said "Vince Young will NEVER play QB in the NFL." I told him how wrong he was and that VY will play Qb in the NFL and he told me again that I am wrong. Thus, I started this poll to see what others think. And so far, I have been proven right, BIG TIME. Then, Ronnie decided to change his opinion to "well, he will play in the NFL but he won't be that great," which was my original opinion, while at the same time still telling me I was "wrong." Clearly, I OWNED him. P.S. If you think the question is dumb, don't answer it. You answered it, I assume, so......okay. Also, I MIGHT be wrong, but I don't think Eric Crouch actually every played QB in the NFL. And taking a dircet snap from the QB for one play doesn't count, otherwise Dante Hall, Priest Holmes, and Eddie Kennison would all be quarterbacks in the NFL. I don't think, however, that Crouch ever actually got the chance, I think he was drafter to be a WR. I could be wrong, but I doubt it, because I am pretty smart. OOOOPPP THERE'S THAT ARROGANCE AND COCKINESS AND ANNOYING ATTITUDE AGAIN, I GUESS THAT MAKES ME UNLIKABLE TO SOME PEOPLE!!! I care, really I do. Just kidding, I ain't here to make friends.

i agree that people look at super bowls as a barometer for whether or not a qb is great too often. a super bowl title is a team accomplishment. its not like winning a superbowl automatically makes a qb great and not winning one means they suck.here is a list of some qbs that have one superbowls:Mark RypienDoug WilliamsTrent Dilfersome that haven't:Dan MarinoPeyton ManningWarren Moon (a personal favorite)So according to people who think superbowls are everything, Mark Rypien is a more proven quarterback than dan marino, who happens to own every career passing record in the nfl, because he was on a superbowl winning team.Also, Eric Crouch never played qb in the nfl. he was drafted as a reciever. after that failed he said he wanted to try and be a qb and green bay had him take some snaps in camp, but he never made an nfl roster as a qb

USC will definitely win and Vince Youg will definitely play in the NFL. He may have to adjust his game a little and not run so much. I think Michael Vick is learning that this year. Running is okay when needed, but he has to be willing to hang in the pocket a little longer and throw.I think Vince will be a good NFL QB.

They were facing.....Colorado. If they did that against a ranked team, it'd be a hell of a message. But, it's not much against Colorado.USC, on the other hand, is dominating #11.5 UCLA and Reggie Bush just locked up the heisman.

yeah, you're right, beating a team with a winning record from a power conference in a conference title game by 67 points, PLUS the fact that they pulled their dogs back in the third quarter isn't that impressive. Sure. Funny how, when talking about how good USC is, a popular point to bring up is USC's rout of ARKANSAS, A LOSING TEAM. Everyone acts like that game is the true measure of USC's greatness, this win is MUCH more impressive than that rout, since it was in a more important game, against a better opponent, AND Texas didn't even play their starters in the fourth quarter......don't deny it, Texas is ready for USC, and USC is in trouble.Also, UCLA ain't that good. Not saying they are better OR worse than Colorado, not gonna get into that, but they were routed by Arizona....Arizona. Their defense can't stop anybody, so of course USC is gonna put up a lot of points. Not saying USC routing UCLA ISN'T impressive, but don't try to make the case that a 35 pt. win over UCLA would be more impressive than the 67 pt. win over Colorado. We'll see how much USC wins by first.
