Rocketwadster 0
You played it correctly IMO. Only possible difference MAY be on 7th, but I probably would have check/called as well. By the looks of things, you have two opponents who seem to like their 8 6 low chances, and someone else who I have no idea what he is doing just calling with his apparant high hand. Keep playing against those guys by the looks of things, regardless of the actual results of this particular hand. 8)
oceansize 0
check calling on the end was a good play, you played it well. trips is still got a chance for one end, though that ten snafued what was probably the best low draw...keep playing the way you are.
AlanBostick 0
amy i pushing my low draw too hard here? No. You didn't really have a low draw to push until fifth street.I have mixed feelings about your fourth street bet. Your hand looks powerful, but it's actually quite weak. Why is ghunter522 in the hand, with a king showing? Could he have split kings? If so, you're way behind for both halves of the pot. In your favor your bet has deception. Your ace is a very scary card to everyone else. Betting here might induce a fold from someone who actually ought to call. You're unlikely to be raised, and you would call someone else's bet, so by that measure betting can't be too big a mistake. The case for betting on fifth street is much stronger: you have the best low draw -- and it looks like you've already got there. The bet on 6th is mandatory: you now have what looks like the best high hand with major scoop potential. I'd probably bet the river, also, because (1) you may induce folds by weak lows like 86, and (2) you will very likely get called by weaker high hands that are out there. dms26 3
I think you played it fine but I would probably bet on 7th too, nobody has a strong board, they just seem to be chasing gutshots and weak low draws. People rarely give you credit for trips, so I'd probably lead out on 7th as well.As for betting the low draw I have no problem with it, you have a very scary board.

I thought that 4th st. bet was automatic with the other boards. 69, 86, 7K, and K7. A bet here should lose 69 and 7K. If the 86 wants to contest with a rough 8 draw fine but you can lose him on 5th with either a brick for him or another baby for you. And well if the K7 calls he gets a Christmas card from me. If you can get the pot heads up on 5th and have a pair and a low draw you are a favorite over 1 pair of Kings and you are looking good against a rough 8. In tighter games a bet here can just win the pot. Who wants to play against an A2 with those boards? And to the OP you played the hand perfectly imo. You could never push this hand to hard. By 5th st. you have a wheel draw (with the A in hand) against what looks like a pair of K's and two 86 low draws with some straight potential, but they are both looking slim as 2 of the 7's are dead and you have the 2's as blockers. This is a great situation. 7th st. was an ugly brick but that happens. I'd love to see the results I'm guessing you had tons of equity on 5th and 6th st.

Even the "good" players here will call with split kings when the bring-in catches an ace. It's a terrible mistake, true, and I bet you make money at stud/8 ... but that you blow a lot of money on postage this time of year.PS: Did you notice that papooze's 86 is suited? When I do play online I play at around the 2-4 to 5-10 level and tourneys, but I have not logged enough time to understand the game in these settings. And yes I did notice the suited 86. I never give much thought to an apparent 4th st. flush draw other than a potential holding. I also think I have a leak in my game where I look to outplay people who miss on 4th or 5th street. I find myslef representing a lot of 3rd and 4th st hands in order to pick up small pots where people miss. It isn't a great play when you play a pot looking to catch a good card for your board, have your opponent brick, and get him to laydown his hand.....but I still do it way too often.
