Im stuck at the $30/60 game but noone knows it because i just moved from another table.A tight player opens from MP1 and gets cold called by a really bad player. Bad player will bet/raise with any peice. I call from the SB with K ,Q . BB folds and we take a flop 3 handed.Flop is T ,5 ,9 (7sb)Action and intention?

6 very dirty overcard outs, 4 straight outs, and ~2 backdoor flush outs...I'm thinking check the flop, and fold to a bet and a raise (you're almost certainly behind, don't have enough outs to call two since your overcards are dirty, and could get 3-bet). Raise if tight player bets and bad player folds, to try to get tight player to fold overs on the turn. If tight player bets and bad player calls, call and see what turn brings. If tight player checks and bad player bets, I think calling is better (raising may clean up two outs, but getting 3-bet really sucks).

I'm about to crash, but I think that check/call here is a good plan. We have some overcard outs, but they aren't fully clean, and we have a gutshot+Bdoor flush. the presance of the bad player changes the plan to be honest. If it was HU, I think that we could CR this and lead a solid turn and take down the pot with the lesser hand

I think bet/call the turn.... Giving a free card to AQ or AJ would suck. If tight player raises and bad player 3-bets, I think I fold due to the threat of bad player already holding a straight or at least a set.

Is this tight player, weak?Would you have c/red if he checked the flop and LP bet?Anyway, I think you should just c/c this turn too. LP won't have the odds to draw to his weak hand anyway, and even if MP is scared of the king and checks, LP might do the betting for you. You can then encourage MP to draw to his 2 outter with a call. If MP bets again, he probably has you beat/tied. Raising does no good.

well, how tight is the tight player, and also how is his play. I actually think that playing this passive might be the best decision. Going for bet/call allows the tight player to blow out the bad player, and our hand isn't that good then, but yet, due to the size of the pot we will have to stay along becasue the bad player is basically dead money in this pot. I think check/calling it along is our best plan here. We aren't gonna be able to protect against any draws anyway, so if the tight player has a hand like JJ or QQ we can let him continue to fire and keep mr idiot in it

I do agree with c/c on flop and c/c on turn, kind of feels weak saying that, but it does seem best.

maybe I'll get yelled at for this but, if you're scared that even if you hit a pair you'll be beat, why play the hand at all? I realize the hand has good potential for straights and flushes, but you know the odds of flopping a flush draw. That being said, I bet this flop. If the raiser is that tight he might fold AK or AQ, and even if he calls you have a good number of outs. This makes the turn easier too.

i c/r the flop/ see where i stand especially cuz the turn bet is bigger. I raise on the turn as well. you cant ask for a much better card so if you dont think you should raise the turn I dont know where a better spot would be?

I think check calling the turn and donk betting any non A river would be a decent option here.

read my post again. I'm not advvocating playing it passive because we spiked our pair, I advocate it so that we can make the most money. Keeping the idiot in gives us more incentive to play it passive

dude where have you been all my life?has this guy been geniusing up our strat forums for awhile and i just haven't noticed, or a vet that's been taking a break?seriously, that's like 3 great posts from you i've read in the past hour. thank you.daniel
