What was your thinking on the turn?

I had to think for a little while before calling the turn. I gave myself 10 outs (probably too many?)...4 Jacks, 3 Queens & 3 Kings. I'm pretty sure I had odds to call with 10 outs, but I may have overestimated the worth of my hand. One of my biggest problems is not being able to put the villain on a range of hands, either in the heat of the moment or afterward. So, I really have no idea what he may have had.

If you had 10 clean outs, what were your pot odds? What was the pot laying you?Was it enough to continue?

you cant give yourself 10 outs on this turn.villain could have a hand like Q9 or K9 in which case you would only have 7 outs.or he could have two pair or better, and then you would only have 4 outs.it is reasonable to give yourself 7 outs.the pot is small so fold the turn.

I'm pretty sure the pot was laying me about 17-4, meaning that I was getting good enough odds provided I had the 10 clean outs. Are you trying to tell me I shoul have folded?

No, I was just making you go through the process. You were getting about 4.25-1 on the turn. With 10 outs, you were about 3.6-1 to hit your hand. You have a slight overlay.EconTim preempted my point, however. What hands bet out at this turn? How many outs can you give yourself here? EconTim suggests 7, and that seems about right, depending on how your opponent plays. With seven outs, you're not getting the proper odds to chase.I don't hate the play. It's marginally poor if you can win a bet on the river (which you likely will, in position) if you hit your hand. I'd just reconsider the number of outs you have here. Post more handsIce

CinciKid-I see this river most of the time...EconTim says fold, but I almost never fold to this turn bet. If you want to know why, send me a PM, and I'll discuss it with you.Ice

you can fold the turn or do as you did... it's close.*** read replies ***yepAt 7 outs and sometimes you get 2 bets on river, calling is ok.Folding's not bad.
