funny town names

Recommended Posts

I live next to a city names Beavercreek, the town name itself is not funny, whats funny is driving through and looking at the business names for example:Beaver CleanersThe Happy Beaver (a cafe I think) I refuse to go inBig Beaver potteryBeaver Wash (car wash) the list goes on and on, everytime I drive through there I laugh so hard I pee a little.

It's always really gay, but I consistently find myself infinately amused when I see a town name that is the same as a friends name.Like in NH where my family vacations, there is a place called Ray.I know it's not funny, but just thought I'd add it. Stupid stuff like that always amuses the heck outta me.

NW of Pittsburgh (where I live) there is a Beaver county, which has towns called Beaver, Big Beaver, Beaver Falls, and a few others. Anyway, it's the same there with Beaver everything. I played travel hockey in HS there and our team name was Beaver County Beavers. That chick from survivor that married Boston Rob is from the town of Beaver...why don't they call her Beaver Amber?? HUH?!?Also, there's a South Park HS close to me. When the show first came on, they couldn't keep their "South Park Football", etc shirts in stock. I'm sure they made a nice $$ from their name.

I've seen this sign in real life. Was coming back from a vacation in North Carolina, so I want to say it was in Kentucky but I'm not sure. I couldnt stop laughing. Not too far from that I believe I saw a sign that said Stinky Creek River. And to all of the beaver names, in Des Moines there is a section of town called Beaverdale and there is a business called Beaver Mower. You would'nt believe how hard I laughed when I saw that sign. :club:
