I have a question on whether or not I played this hand correctly. Please feel free to tell me that I absolutely suck if you wish (I can take criticism). The game: Omaha 8/b on Pokerstars .01/.02 blinds pot limit (I'm still learning the game is the reason for the small stakes). I am sitting on the button with A

and raise the pot when it gets around to me. The big blind then re-raises the pot (he has been playing a lot of hands and does not need a great hand to raise with). One person called and I wanted to try and isolate the big blind so I re-raised the pot, big blind re-raises and caller folds, I re-raise all-in and get called by the big blind. The flop comes down 2, 10, 6 rainbow. Turn Q and river 4. When the hands were shown I won both hi and low. Big blind held AAAK with an offsuit K. When I won both pots, the big blind proceeded to tell me how lucky I was and that he had me crushed preflop. Now my question is, did I play this hand wrong and what are the percentages for these hands? Thanks all, and remember, I am just learning to play Omaha.

I'm no expert, but I can help both you guys a little.First off, no hand "crushes" another hand preflop in O8. As for the other guy "crushing" your hand preflop, he was actually a 47% to 53% underdog. Clearly, he has no idea what he's talking about. As for your hand, this is just my opinion, but you don't want to get into a raise and reraise situation with your hand. You basically have a low hand with one shot at a nut flush. You don't want to isolate with that hand. You want as many people in the pot as possible because you are most likely playing for the low. By pushing people out, you leaving youself head up, probably playing for half the pot. "Isolation" is not a term I've seen used in this game to often. Because no hand is a very big fav over any other hand, if you're playing good players you will have trouble isolating. The are several good books out there you should read. SS2 has a good O8 section.Hope this helps some. Here's a link for a odds calculator.http://www.twodimes.net/poker/
