I recently watched the 4th annual Poker Players conferrence on DVD and it had a section on the SNG strategy, U know the not getting involved the first three rounds and then becoming aggressive on the later rounds ect,, now, I have always played along these lines and they seem to do good in partypoker 5,10,20 tables and mostly in pokerroom for $5 but once I go up to the 10 everyone seems to play waaay tighter it turns out that in the later rounds I might have 2500 in chips (If ive had cards, if not im worse at 1500) in second place with a chipleader at 3500 and six other people at 1200-1600 or so. With the blinds at 50-100 it doesnt really give you that much room to steal and play very agressive. say I were to raise 300 in middle position w/ AK and i get 2 calls then i dont hit the flop now taking a stab at the pot will cost me at least six or seven hundred, so I cant because that will almost send me to the low stack, but if I dont try to win the pot and then I miss two more flops + blinds Im in the same situation. It seems to me that the tighter a table the more swings there are in the later rounds..Would you play more hands now during the first 3 rounds and try to double or triple up before the real war of preflop all-ins starts or would how would you play in this type of situation?

Yes I've been looking into the same information you have... typically if you notice its a tight table.. start picking up hands on the button and one off the button depending on how the player to your left is playing (loose, tight, aggresive passive etc..) I've found that even at the 5 and 10 dollar sngo's you can get some "rock" tables where after the first 2 or 3 people are knocked out everyone tightens up, its at this point that pre-flop aggresion and post-flop aggression really need to be working on full cylinders to pick up those "take me" pots.
