That was my thinking. Figured I'd either take it down, get called and win, or I'd have to call if I checked and was put in, right?

either way ur gonna be put to a test for all ur chips in this situation... unless u have a monster read on him for pkt queens or aks then you are in good shape

eh ur turn bet is alright...30 may be a better bet but it was a good c/r

On the turn, he has to call $18 to win$54 ($18 + $6 + $6 + $24) so he's getting 3-1 to see the river so if he does have a set he's almost getting even money to call. If you think it's possible that he already has a set, you probably need to raise more to increase the likely hood that he folds. But if he's as aggresive as you say and he does have a set, he's likely to call any turn raise as not too many players at $50 Party NL have the displine to release a set with 1 card to come.Given that, I think your turn raise was fine, maybe should've been a little larger like pot size $30.On the river pairing the board, if you know you would call an all-in from him, might as well push first and pray (to steal a line from Mattx...)Since I know that if I check, I'm going to call because I'd be getting $100/$30, I'd be more inclined to make a small bet $10 to try and induce a bluff on the river. I wouldn't think he'd call a $30 bet with Top Pair on a board with straight, flush and boat possibilities.
