nritchi3 0
When i went on my recent freakout. It got me thinking about what truely is the proper bankroll for the limits people play. Ive read lots of books but ive always kinda wondered if i do have the proper bankroll for the limits i play. Anyone care to comment on there limits and bankroll and what they think a proper ratio should be.Personally i play 2/4 limit shorthanded and my bankroll is about a 1000 (maybe a little less after tonight. )
Dixie Wrecked 0
I read an article where it was suggested to play 200 Big Bets (BB) for an aggresive approach and 300 BB for a more conservative approach for Limit games. If you play short handed you should probably have at least 300 BB. InertGrudge 0
As has been discussed rather extensively in other posts on this site, a proper bankroll for limit hold'em is roughly 300 big bets. For short handed, you may need a little more since the variance can be slightly higher. So, for 2/4, you need roughly 1200.For other games, like Limit O8, you may require a lot less, simply because of the nature of the game.
loxo 0
A little low for 2/4, especially shorthanded.General rule of thumb is 3oo BB so you're not far away, however shorthanded has higher variance and depending on your style of play you may need a little more. Chiggleslap 0
for a lot of SH limit games, you might need as much as 500BB, maybe even more. 300BB is by no means a "conservative" estimate. it's more of a minimum a lot of the time.
PokerKnight55 0
1000 is right for a FULL ring game, short-handed brings much more beats and variance.
