bmwguy525 0
I was watching the WPT Season 2 they're airing right now to build up for March, and I realized that whenever Mike Sexton says that two cards are suited, he doesn't put it in plural. FOR example, he says "So and so's got big slick suited, the ace-king of SPADE..." or "he's got five-seven of SPADE in the big blind..." So notice, when I say it, and I've heard everyone else say the same, I would say the ace-king of spadeS. With the S. Am I the only one who finds this odd?
Vade 0
As a guy with a speech impediment, allow me to say that Mike Sexton is a terrific commentator who just likes saying Spade instead of Spades.Probably a result of who he played poker with in the past.
dreed 0
Yeah, i agree with Vade. I think this is just his personal style and not a speach impediment. I don't mind the missing "s" and didn't even notice it unitl i read this post.
