just curious who won that thing, watched all the prelims and wondering who won? probably Gus, he was playing great and getting cards. Blinds moved a little fast for my taste but it was good to see all these guys playing against each other. ANYWAYS, im an ivey fan and just wanna know the final results.

Yep. Gus won. He knocked everybody out personally.

I thought Daniel N. won that tournament? Didn't NBC claim that the top 8 players in the world were invited to play in that tournament? Yeah, that's right, Daniel won it!!!

I wanted to watch the Superstars invitational, but I missed it due to prior promises. Also meant to record it, but my VCR broke. Piece of junk. :wall:

Wouldn't Daniel and Gus heads up be something to watch at a final table!

There was a WPT episode during the 2nd season (PokerStars Caribbean Adventure 2004) where the final three was gus hansen, daniel negreanu, and hoyt corkins. negreanu never really got started, was short-stacked, and got busted by corkins while holding a dominated hand, Q9s vs. K9d. gus eventually won that one.Heads up might be different since both players are so great post-flop.
