It seems the folks at Ultimate Bet have been busy, busy, busy. When I logged on yesterday my UB software was automatically updated. They have managed to make the site even better. They added a feature to the notes where you can assign a coloured marker to a player. It appears on the screen over the players' names. This corrects one of the very few pet peeves I had with UB. Before you had to click on the notes to see if you had notes on a player. Now you know immediately because of the coloured mark. Very nice! Another feature they've added is a tournament lobby which contains everything regarding the tournament that you could possibly require. Maybe after a few days I'll find something that they missed but I doubt it.My biggest (only?) pet peeve with UB now is the fact that you cannot have real money private tournaments. This is a feature they need to correct immediately.Anyway, that's my quick spiel on UB....what do you guys think of the new features and/or UB in general.

I also noticed the colored marker thing. I think it was a great idea. UB is the only site I play, mostly because they have micro limits where I feel comfortable playing new games while I'm playing limit hold'em. From what I understand, UB has the lowest limits online. Is this correct?Nikki

UB is my top choice also. I like the way the tables reorient when you sit down so you're always in the same seat. I like the "bet pot" button.A few weeks ago the player notes thingy added the colored dot for like... one day, and then it was gone again. Glad to see it's back. The new tournament lobby rocks. They do have the ability to do private tournaments, but it's not something you can just set up. Has to be done by management and I have no idea what goes into it... but I'm guessing it's not something they'll do for just a small group of friends. On of the other things I don't like about UB is that the stats function resets whenever you leave a table. I'd like to have a cumulative stats option. What else... their rakes seem to be lower than other sites although I haven't done any sort of comprehensive analysis. Micro limit games can go several pots in a row without a rake (only pots larger than a buck get raked, and my gf plays a lot of the 1 cent/2 cent NL there). The player referral system is good... If you are referred, you get a 50% bonus on first deposit (without a referral you get a 40%) bonus, and the player that referred you gets a 100% bonus, which is kind of nice. In fact, if anyone is interested in signing up there, tell 'em LBCat sent ya :DThey have a number of pros that play there and they're automaticaly put on your buddy list. Annie Duke hosts a 4/8 game, and Krazy Kanuck likes to play low limit heads up SnG's (he says he does it to work on new skills). I haven't seen any of the other pros on line, but I general play at odd hours so that's likely the reason.
