I think you should bet this river and possibly lay the hand down to a raise if your confident in your read and your opponent is fairly straight forward and doesn't get out of line.I would bet/call in most instances and possibly lay it down to a raise with a good read. There's really nothing he raises the river with that you beat, so a laydown makes sense, but then again this is a low limit game so when in doubt, you should probably call just in case.

That's the thing. I'm not 94% certain that a river raise means I'm beat. Maybe 90% of the time it does, but that still means I have to usually pay off.

Well it really depends on how confident you are in your reads and if you're willing to trust them. Playing good poker sometimes means going against the mathematically correct play, when you trust your instincts you can make laydowns like this once in a while, probably shouldn't happen often though. On the other hand if your not sure and would like to showdown the hand, I don't mind the check/call on the end either.

I had just sat down at the table. My only reads were my datamined pt reads. His stats were 45/15/1.5 after 1200 hands.I use these stats to guide my play. I don't trust them enough to make a read-based river fold. :-)
