I was curious, sometimes when I reply to tournament posts about critiquing a hand, or something like that, I refer to a concept that I call the "call/fold threshold". I know I didn't "come up" with the concept, and I'm assuming I probably read about it in a book. Anyway, I'm wondering what it's really called. Maybe there's no name and it's just so obvious that I'm the only dummy trying to give it a name. Anyway, if you don't know what I'm talking about...I play a lot of 2 table SnGs on PokerStars. Early in the tournament when I'm trying to get a feel for how the other players are playing, one of the things I'm looking for is their C/F T. Say I raise it to 200 to go preflop from 25/50 blinds. One guy calls me, the rest fold, so now there's 475 in the pot. After the flop if he has a hand he's not sure about, there's an amount of money that he'd be willing to call to try and catch, but not higher than that. BTW, I'm NOT referring to pot odds, I play at the $10 sng and a lot of players are not familiar with pot odds (it's RELATED to pot odds, because it's the same thing as giving a good player bad odds to draw to his hand, but you're using it against a person that doesn't know the odds to draw to their hand.)Maybe one player would stay in with a decent hand for a 200 bet (using the 475 pot example). Another player would fold for 200, but would call 150. Anyway, is there a name for that? That's the whole point of this rambling post. Have a great day!

I've never heard it given a name, but in the 10 dollar SnG's I'm used to playing, the C/F threshold seems to be "All in"When I have a good hand I try to bet enough money to let drawing hands misplay.
