going for the check raise on flop only to see it get

UTG calls, UTG+1 calls, 3 folds, Hero completes, BB checks.Flop: (5 SB) [Ad], [5h], [6d] (5 players)Hero checks, BB checks, UTG checks, UTG+1 checks, MP3 checks.Turn: (2.50 BB) [9s] (5 players)Hero bets, BB folds, UTG calls, UTG+1 calls, MP3 folds.River: (5.50 BB) [8d] (3 players)Hero checks, UTG checks, UTG+1 checks.Final Pot: 5.50 BBTo me check raising the flop is fast playing BUT it certainly screwed me here. Thoughts?

On coordinated boards sometimes better off betting with bottom 2 into a big field in hopes that it gets raised by a draw or Ax allowing you to 3 bet it.I'm pretty sure you're much better off bet/folding the river then check/calling which I assume was your line.
