TheIceman05 0
Party Poker 5/10 Hold'em (10 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cxDon't ask for pokertracker stats. I'm weaning myself. My winrate has dropped only slightly without it, and my hand reading ability is as good as it was before I quit paying attention to hands because of PTPreflop: Superhero is Button with 6:heart:, 7:heart:. 6 folds, BB checks.BB and SB are super-loose, and likely coming along if I try to isolate the weak CO limper. CO has been limping first in with marginalish hands (KT, etc).Flop: (3.33 SB) 8:diamond:, J:club:, 5:club: (3 players)BB checks, CO bets, Superhero calls, BB calls.I raise the flop to get a free card, clean random runner-club/runner-straight outs. BB surprises me by cold calling. Scared top/middle pair? Flush draw? CO surprises me by 3-betting. My guess is a J, or an A/Khi flush draw.Turn: (6.16 BB) 7:spade: (3 players)BB checks, CO checks, Superhero checks. What? 3-bet check? I picked up a pair. I take the free cardRiver: (6.16 BB) 6:diamond: (3 players)BB bets, CO calls, Superhero calls. Now why the heck is the BB waking up? J9/89 are the only hands that make ANY sense here. CO calls? What the... no, he has some random pair. No way he 3-bets any hand that contains a 4 on that flop. No way, except maybe Ac4c, and that's a longshot. So I call, thinking I'm good 1/10 times here.Thoughts?Final Pot: 9.16 BB
akishore 0
i really like, and i think the turn is somewhat close, but a check is still better.btw, the whole time i felt CO had 8 x .aseem
screech 0
I really don't know whether I want to raise/call/fold the flop.Turn and River look standard. If you raise the flop and get it HU, are you taking the free turn card?

Good callBTW How many tables you playing at once given that you're weaning off P/T
TheIceman05 0
Hey, are posts being edited and deleted? I responded to a response to my Original Post last night, and and now neither the initial response, or my counter-post are around. Also, I made an edit to my post that seems to have disappeared as well(though I might just be mistaken about the edit).Anybody else notice anything else? I feel like the response was from pokerplayer24 (or something like that).Anywhoo, thanks for the responses. I thought this hand was a really good example of when a scary board can warrant a seemingly "dead" overcall if you think hard about your opponents likely holdings. Glad some people agreed. Canada- I can play 4, but my winrate drops a bit. I feel most comfortable playing 3 tables. My winrate for 1-3 tables is pretty much identical, unless I'm a little steamed and trying to run the game over. When I get laggy, having to pay attention to 27 opponents hurts a bit.Ice
Canada 0
There have been problems with the forum for a while with posts going AWOL.Just curious as to your PT thing. Surely you could play more tables efficiently with PT taking care of your reads?I'm about the same as you, 3 tables is the limit without help, but 5 is easily doable when PT is on.I just find that I can 'stereotype' and ignore so many players with PT feeding me and just concentrate on the 'out of the square' types

Even datamining with it and referencing old databases when you encounter someone that gives you fits is immensely helpful. But I found myself using it as a crutch. I played live exclusively in a few big games for 3 weeks, and I realized I would be in the middle of a hand, faced with a decision, and think, "I have no idea who this guy is; instead of tracking his play, I've been staring at a waitresses breasts." So I was left on an island, flailing away like a bear trying to swat a bee. No way the bee is killing the bear (unless, God forbid, he's severely allergic), but he's not exactly the ideally designed weapon to slay the stinging bastard, either. You know, which sucked. So: I'm sacrificing some profit now to keep my game well-rounded. I stress out playing any more than 3-tables on my smallish monitor (heck, any monitor, who am I kidding) anyway, so losing poker tracker and tracking poker with my brain kinda takes a load off... oddly.Anyway, that's why I am doing it.IcePS- What the fuck is the deal with these missing posts? Anybody know? I don't mean to be accusatory, but are the mods wiping stuff out? I'd like to know if they are...

KDawgCometh 2
well, if tweedle dee and tweedle dum are coming along for the ride with a PF raise, I think that I am still gonna go ahead and raise it up. More for value with my sooooted connector then to try to iso. I might be willing to cap the flop. two of our outs are tainted, but with the BB just calling along, we can still get that free card by capping and we will still be making a winning hand slightly more then 3-1, so we probably have enough equity for a cap(though, honestly, it is on the marginal side). We might also be able to use a club as a bluff card too since we have positionriver- I'm not so sure about overcalling that river since our 2 pair bring 4 to a straight on the river. I'd call HU, but you have to beat 2 people once every 8 times, and I'm just not to sure that that is possible
