limit sngs on party

does anyone regularly play limit hold'em, omaha hi/lo, or stud sit and goes on party? if so, are you making a profit comparable to the NL or PL games because i have been playing in the limit tourneys more often and have found them to be all out luckfests towards the end. i was playing 3 handed with 400/800 bets in a hold'em sng the other night and there is only 8000 chips in play to begin with! this is especially bad when you are playing 7 card stud and this happens. besides stealing blinds when you can, where is the skill involved?
