Party Poker 0.50/1 Hold'em (8 handed) converterPreflop: Pancake407 is CO with J:club:, Q:heart:. 4 folds, Pancake407....?Thoughts?
This type of hand is what Sklansky calls a speculative hand in SSHE. It would work well against many opponents, as it would pay off big if you hit a big flop. However, he goes on to say that you shouldn't cold call raises with potentially dominated hands. QJo is pretty marginal. I will play hands like this under favorable circumstances, but that's about it. You do have position against the two blinds, but it seems from the action that you could already be in rough shape. I think its an easy fold when the action gets to you initially, and an even easier fold after a re-raise and then a re-re-raise. Save those extra bets for a more favorable position.Anyone else have any criticisms for my logic in this situation?

Easy Peasey One Two Threesey( credit goes to Speedz99 on that one )*******reading replies*********I think you can fold, Raise, Limp preflop.Raise if Blinds are tight/pasiveLimp if Blinds are loose passiveFold if Blinds/Button are TAG's.But I'm not sure on all that. It's just that with QJ off, anything calling me or re-raising, likely leaves me wishing I had folded.
