in response to who is a hero. firstly I'd like to tell you some of my heros. Mother Tersa, anwar sadat, gandi, abe lincoln, my gradma and grandpa, the list is long and somewhere in there I would probably put daniel negreanu. While my list might include some actual, "true", "real", heros, it also might include some who do not fit into the "TRue" meaning of the word, which I have yet to look up, and not having the Oxford Definition at hand or the capacity to post it, I leave the actual definitive concept of the word to my subjective understanding as to what it means, as do most, I assume. So while a fireman could possible be called a here to one and a poker player to another, both could still be incorrect, based upon their flawed subjective understanding of the word.Personally I really do not know what a hero is. Although I feel I have an idea about what the word encompasses, so I create my own reality and invent my heros based on what I know.I don't feel as if a "real" hero could be a fireman or a military man for the simple reason that their actions cannot be veiwed as totally selfless all the time. As well, those in uniform have given over their individuality to a greater cause, so they individually cannot be considered heros. maybe as a whole but that doesn't work either cause there's sure to be insidious ones within the rank or file.So now I need to eliminate some of my heros off my list because they don't fit within the defined parameters of my understanding of the word. Well o.k. goodbye Sherman goodbye Rommel, I don't think so, they are my war heros and I want them on my list, albeit I dont believe it to be possible to have a warring hero, they remain on my list. Why? because they are my heros not yours and I realize I have contradictory natures. I have my own ideas and opinions as to the meaning of the word based upon the life I've lived. So while I probably wouldn't consider a poker player to be a real hero, some do in fact remain on my list.Who is your POKER HERO? Don't say daniel because he doesn't BELIEVE in those, he he.

ummmm what??????
Good times for a change
See, the luck I've had
Can make a good man
Turn bad

So please please please
Let me, let me, let me
Let me get what I want
This time

Haven't had a dream in a long time
See, the life I've had
Can make a good man bad

So for once in my life
Let me get what I want
Lord knows, it would be the first time
Lord knows, it would be the first time
