I've got a question for anyone who's played on multiple sites, especially those who have played on pokerstars. I've noticed that once you pass .25/.50, the pokerstars tables tighten up somewhat, especially during the day or afternoon. There's still a lot of people playing garbage, and the games are beatable, but I'm wondering if you've found other sites where you've got a better edge. I've heard vague claims that competition on PStars might be tougher than elsewhere, but I'm wondering if anyone knows firsthand.

My favorite site to play at right now is bodog. The software is super fast and because it is connected to a sportsbook there are a lot of fish. Another good site to play at that has a lot of fish is bospoker.com . That room is tied to betonsports.com Its a new room and it doesn't have a lot of players yet but most are very poor players.

Oh, another question. PStars typically has waiting lists for its games once you get out of micro-limits, and has a limited number of full tables. Are there any sites that are better about that? That's one problem that I could think of with those small sites you're mentioning, jcgoad.

I think poker stars is teh worst. I was just playing the stud tourney and in teh first 5 min of the tourney i lost with Aces up twice, two straights, and a set. That is so unrealistic. FullTilt RULES!!!

Pokerstars and Ultimatebet are typically very difficult sites to play especially at higher limits, but at .25/.50 the games are very beatable. Royal Vegas Poker and Party Poker have many fish at higher limits.
The path
of the righteous man is beset on
all sides by the inequities of the
selfish and the tyranny of evil
men. Blessed is he who, in the
name of charity and good will,
shepherds the weak through the
valley of darkness, for he is truly
his brother's keeper and the finder
of lost children.
And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those
who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers.
And you will know my name is the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon you.

Are you really asking people to let you know where the softest games are?I've played around a dozen different sites looking for the easiest games around ( I think I've found them now) and it's not the kind of info you give away. :-) If I was to list what I think are the best games to play in they would suddenly become the worst. Every man and his dog would be over there and the game becomes a lot harder. I think Party is becoming a victim of this. Due to the amount of people saying how soft the games are they are now a lot tougher to beat. The best advice I could give would give is do some bonus whoring to find some soft games. If you're good enough even playing the toughest sites should leave you even at worst, you should make a profit overall. Also sites which have a casino and sportsbook tend to be quite soft. Players have a win on the football/basketball/roulette table and try their hand at hold-em because they've seen it on the T.V.

The top three sites with the easiest games at limits between .50/1 and 15/30 are, in no particular order:1. Party2. Party3. Party
I've never played poker.

I've played the low-limits at pokerroom, party, betfair, and pacific. Pokerroom used to be ridiculously easy, if I had had the slightest clue what I was doing (this was about 2 years ago), I could have made 4 bb/100 easily. I went back for a while recently, and it's not so good nowadays. Not terrible, but not great. Good site overall though.Party has got steadily tougher. Some of the players at 1-2 are actually quite sophisticated.Pacific poker=goldmine. If you don't multitable this is the site for you. In fact I suggest all decent players at the lower limits on party go to pacific immediately, to avail of this fantastic opportunity.Betfair is wild, loose and aggressive. Easy money if you know how to play in those types of games. I'm not sure if americans are allowed play on the site though

Apparently it is the type of information you give away, Dude. Smash: Party and Empire are the same site. Any particular reason for playing party over empire? Or are you just referring to both via party?

are you really saying that the quality of 5 hands correlates to the quality of a site and the quality of its players...?to the original poster:i've heard that pokerstars is more difficult than average as well because that is usually the first site good live players gravitate to (in relation to mid and high limits, not low limits). i had no idea party poker was getting tougher... to my knowledge, i have heard the games are still super-soft, and i, personally, am planning to deposit part of my bankroll onto party sometime in the near future. i play on prima poker right now (crazy poker, but it's all the same network), and the games are fairly soft at the low limits. i'm going to explore some sites mentioned that are connected to sports betting, etc. because i think those games would naturally be softer, although the population would be low, i'm thinking.hope this helps, aseem
