I recently started playing Vietnamese poker (only play with 8s throughAs, 1 card down 4 up pulled from the bottom of the deck 1 card perround, flush beats a full house, and the only straight that counts is10,J,Q,K,A, high hand showing each round opens) with my girlfriend'sfamily (they're Vietnamese I'm not). Since this form of poker isnew to me I usually play pretty tight. Any advice concerning theintricacies of the game, betting strategy, and/or general strategywould be appreciated.I recently posted on recpoker but that site has degraded so much in recent years I guess I really shouldn't have expected anything near a serious or intelligent reply. I know Daniel has enormous respect for the numerous Vietnamese poker players found in SoCal and internationally so I was hoping to get a better response here.

I would post in the general section, you would get a reply on this since this isn't considered a off-topic subject.I'm interested in this myself as well, so repost this in the general section
