cb04 0
I was wondering if I could get some input on this hand I playd out of the big blind in a .25/.50 game. My main question is was my raise on the flop a horrible play or not. Obviously any other comments are welcome.http://www.pokerhand.org/index.php?page=vi...iew&hand=170299
dblbassted 0
In a limit game, I would have tried to make my hand a little more cheaply that reraising him on the flop. I put him on a low draw and/or a flush draw right away. Plus, you're only working with 5 outs to catch the nut boat or a straight flush. If I were to chase this hand, I'd have check called and prayed that I didn't, at best, get scooped-Ted
navybuttons 16
i think check-raising the flop is probably a bad play. if you had a decent low A-3, A-4, then your hand becomes stonger, especially after the turn. noy think if he had a low: the 6s would have given him half.actually, i can't even try to analyize this. you only want to raise there if you think your opponent is going high and you want to knock out a low. but basically the play from you oppenent is SO bad (calling pre-flop) that i don't know how i would play against him if he was continually playing these hands. JacKingOff_suit 0
I would had played exactly the same as you did on the flop, turn and river except I might have riased preflop knowing that my villain is a retard.
Fritzmania 0
I guess I'm in the minority here. I would have thrown that hand away after the re-raise on the flop. Unless I'm playing against a total donk who is raising me with a set (which I have seen happen), I would assume I am beat here. My weekly bankroll is made by opponents that refuse to throw away low flushes. And your low draw is basically garbage, so I don't see any reason to continue.
Vman96 0
Nah, I'm with you here fritz. Check-raising the flop does give us a pretty good idea where we are here. A 3 bet makes this a pretty easy laydown if we can believe a player won't re-raise with a complete bluff. You can't depend on the A-7 to give you low either...although it would have in this case if a low card hit.And for the people ripping on the villain for hand selection...there are worse hands to play 3-handed. I think everyone failed to notice the shorthanded aspect of the game.
Chamonyx 0
Depending on the read on the other player you have 2 rational choices here:1. CR max on the flop, give up if called (although that is a vaguely tempting turn to re-bet out......)2. Let it go - you will have beeter opportunities to get his stack

It's LO8 3-handed.Since it's 3-handed, I couldn't lay down my flush, no way! Even it's 3-handed LO8, KQ59 is still a piece of junk.Because it's 3-handed, I may raise with A78T ss.Now Chamonyx, let's get back to a hand where I had AA23 in the blind and the flop was TTK ns and I potted then you min-raised then I min-reraised and you shoved and then I folded .... You've got a ten, KK, TK or I just got outplayed? I am going to stay away from your table from now on.
