third hand I'm posting. All players in this hand are poor quality players. I have notes.UTG is slightly ST with around $20btn is a big fish and I have him covered.10 handedI have 89s in MP.I have a bigger stack, in the $70s - $80sUTG limps, fold, fold, fold, I call, call behind, btn raises to $2, bb calls, UTG calls, I call, fold.4 way to..FLOP :: 8 :D 9 :) 10 :) UTG checks, I check, btn bets $5, UTG raises all in for $16 total. I cold call. btn calls.Turn :: A :D I check, btn bets $14, I c/r to $30 to put him all in. He calls.River :: 8 :club: Action closed on turn.On this hand I'll post reasoning before I see replies. Cause I know most of you will say I need to fast play this flop and re-raise on the flop, or dump it.However, the reason I only called the $16 instead of isolating was because I put UTG on a draw and button on a few hands, KT, AT, AK, AQ, and maybe AJ.His cold calling the flop really didn't scare me. I was expecting it.But then again he could have had nothing, either way I wanted to get him all in on the turn and I was confident that I could c/r him all in on the turn and make up on chips if I got outdrawn on by the UTG player by stacking the button.I wasn't a huge fan of the turn, but when he bet $14 I really didn't think he was strong. Maybe semi bluffing still (or overplaying TP, or an overpair which he was doing), and decided I would gamble with him now and get him to commit the rest of his stack.I know my flop play was unorthodox, but again, I didn't want to lose him on the flop. I wanted to make a decision on the turn.- Jordan

I think your reasoning is pretty sound on this hand. I don't think you have to play this hand fast on the flop because of what you put the button on. I don't think you want to scare him away on this flop and I doubt you would anyway if you say he is a big fish.
